Junior Choir at a special service in the village on Palm Sunday

St Mark’s has a vibrant junior choir with around a dozen members, both boys and girls. Being a junior chorister is fun, and everyone gets on well, but we work hard too, to be as good as we can be.

Juniors enjoy singing with the wider choir, but we have our own identity too. New recruits aim to gain their white collar, at which point they become a full member of the choir, whilst existing choristers work towards recognised awards from the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM).

Highlights of the year include both local and national RSCM courses, performing in church at major festivals and weddings, and an annual junior choir party.

Junior choristers meet to practice every Friday at 6.45 to 8.15pm, joining the full choir practice at 7.30pm. If you’re interested in joining us, please contact Director of Music David Noble at directorofmusic@stmarksbilton.co.uk or come along to one of our practices.
