Dan was ordained at Coventry Cathedral in 2020. Before training for ministry, he was living in London and was primarily an academic working in the area of social media, journalism and conflict. 

Having long been involved in lay Christian leadership, Dan felt called by God to pursue full-time ministry, and began training for ordination at Ripon College, Cuddesdon in 2017. He enjoyed living in a diverse worshipping community and developing theological interests in "vulnerability" and the work of Soren Kierkegaard.

Dan served his curacy in the parish of Stoke, St Michael's in Coventry and more recently at St Michael's, Budbrooke. He is particularly passionate about preaching, leading engaging creative worship for all ages, and environmental and social justice.

Dan is married to Victoria, who works as a Deputy Director at NHS England. She also trained as a lay reader in Liverpool Diocese. They have two young children.

Glenn Lowde (Associate Minister)

Glenn has lived and worked in Rugby all his life,he is married to Delia and has two adult sons Dean and Nathan. He was ordained in 2020 and served his curacy at St Mark’s, Bilton, where he has been a member of the congregation and a Reader there for seven years prior to being an ordinand. His ministry is now to continue at St Mark’s as its Associate Minister.

Glenn has also had a wider ministry within the Diocese as a Spiritual Director for the past 11 years.

Glenn qualified with a Degree in Counselling in 2012 and works as a Counsellor at The Light House, a Christian Counselling agency based in Coventry. Glenn enjoys nurturing and walking with others on their journey with God. He is also part of the Diocese’s team of discernment advisers.

Alongside this, Glenn’s career has been in the Aerospace industry, as a qualified metallurgist and quality engineer. Responsible for measurement and testing, he was a member of the company’s senior management team heading the Quality Department.

Glenn has always enjoyed working with people in various capacities from technical training, mentoring and coaching, to being their counsellor for when life is hurting, to helping others discern their calling and developing their gifts in God’s service.

Glenn is also a keen cyclist, recently completing 100 mile closed road rides raising money for charity. He sings tenor in the Rugby Philharmonic Choir and enjoys opera and live music.

The Churchwardens

An essential piece of the St Mark’s puzzle, churchwardens are responsible for many of the practical aspects of running the church, from overseeing the upkeep of the building to ensuring our Sunday services run smoothly.
