Children & Young People

St Mark’s church has plenty going on for children of all ages, every week and throughout the year.

At our 10am Sunday service we have a Junior Church group, whilst our monthly Family service gives adults and children the chance to worship together.

Teen Talk and the Youth Group are aimed at secondary school age.

For the musically minded, we have a strong Junior Choir, which performs regularly at Sunday worship. In addition young people are involved in bell ringing and in our Church music group.

Lionhearts is the name of our baby and toddler group, which meets on a Wednesday afternoon, whilst we also have strong links with a number of local schools, taking assemblies and inviting classes to visit our church.

At St Mark’s there are lots of special events and regular activities planned specially for our youngsters. However, we believe that there are many things adults can learn from children, and plenty that we can all learn together. Because of this we involve young people as much as possible in our wider worship, and have a policy of Communion before Confirmation.
